What Is SOLA?

The Support Our Library Association, Inc. (SOLA) is a duly organized and fully authorized 501(c)3 Massachusetts non-profit corporation that supports the program and service needs of the Stoughton Public Library. SOLA was formed in October 2011 with the mission of providing funds for new and existing activities, programs and other services for children and adults at the Stoughton Public Library as it continues to grow and serve our community.

Our Mission

The mission of SOLA is
- To support the functions, resources, services and needs of the Stoughton Public Library, Stoughton, MA, as are compatible with its policies and objectives.
- To foster public support for the necessary development of the Library to the end that it may adequately serve the needs of the Town of Stoughton.
- To encourage and receive gifts and bequests for acquisitions which may otherwise not be available to the Stoughton Public Library.

Meet Our Board

SOLA is governed by its officers and board members. Our current officers are Lynne Jardin, President; Sharon Fradkin, Vice President; Kells Sprague, Secretary; Alethea McFarlane, Treasurer; and Katherine Weiss, Communications Chair. SOLA members elect officers at the annual meeting in October. Applications from any member who would like to serve on the board should be sent to Lynne Jardin, care of the Library at 84 Park Street in Stoughton.
